Former Prime Minister Mahathir became prime minister in 1981 and held office for 22 years until 2003. After that, he won the general election in May 2018, 15 years later, and became prime minister again at the age of 93. Then, in February of last year, Bumui resigned over the transfer of the post of prime minister.
