(Sejong = Yonhap News) Reporter Chae Yeon Kwak Min-seo = About 97% of the 3rd disaster subsidy payments to support the victims of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) were found to have been completed.

On the 16th, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance held an execution inspection meeting on major cash support projects among customized damage support measures with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Ministry of Small and Medium Venture Businesses, presided over by Kang Seung-jun, financial manager, at the government’s Sejong Government Complex.

The cash support project is usually referred to as the 3rd disaster support fund, a support fund for small businesses, an emergency employment stabilization fund, a livelihood support fund for visiting and caring workers, and an income stabilization fund for corporate taxi drivers.

As a result of the inspection, as of the day before, the government exhausted 4.4 trillion won (96.6%) out of the 4.6 trillion won budget for the third disaster support fund. Based on the target (applicant), the payment was completed to 3655,000 out of 3.78 million.

By detailed project, the small business support fund, emergency employment stabilization support fund, and income stabilization fund for corporate taxi drivers were mostly executed. The execution rate of livelihood subsidies for visiting and caring workers is the worst.

The supporting fund, which gives up to 3 million won to small business owners, gave 4 trillion won (96.6%) out of 4.1 trillion won. Of the 2881 thousand targets, 2843,000 were paid for, and 37,000 are under review.

The emergency employment stabilization subsidy, which gives up to 1 million won to special type workers (special advisors) and freelancers, has completed the execution of 400 billion won. It paid 500,000 won to 571,000 people who received the first and second grants, and 1 million won to 110,000 new applicants, giving a total of 681,000 people.

The income stabilization fund of 500,000 won per person for a corporate taxi driver was 387 billion won (96.9%) out of 40 billion won. Of the 78,000 targets, the payment was completed to 77,000.

The livelihood subsidy amounting to 500,000 won per visitor and caregiver was 26.7 billion won (59.3%) out of 46 billion won. It was paid to 53,000 out of the 78,000 targets.

Regarding the relatively low execution rate of livelihood subsidies for visiting and caregivers, Kim Yoo-jin, the labor market policy officer of the Ministry of Employment, said, “In order to support the most difficult people with limited resources, there were few applications. “I couldn’t confirm it well, and I checked with the documents to be submitted, so the payment was delayed.”

Manager Kang said, “We plan to finalize the execution of the support fund and some unexecuted amount of visiting and care workers by the end of this month.” Emphasized.

On the other hand, it was found that 85.0% of the new desired fund and 97.4% of the emergency employment stabilization fund were executed among the 2nd disaster support fund that was organized before the 3rd disaster support fund.

Lee Byung-kwon, the mid-term policy planner, said, “The new desired fund paid 2.7 trillion won out of 3 trillion won, and about 500 billion won remains.” And an error occurred.
