It was found that 900,000 people applied on the first day of the third disaster support fund (support fund).
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that as of 6 pm on the 11th (based on the final official announcement) 900,000 small business owners have completed the application for the support fund. Considering that the reception was received from 8 a.m., about 110,000 people were gathered per hour. Payments started at 1:20 pm.
Most small business owners expressed satisfaction with the quick administrative process. In the actual small business community, positive reactions such as “It’s the day you apply, have you already received it?” and “You can apply and deposit is very fast”.
Some small business owners applied at 11 am and said that the deposit was made in 2 hours and 30 minutes, and encouraged them to “I hope other bosses receive it as soon as possible.”
However, confusion occurred over whether or not the application was eligible or the amount of support. In particular, there were many small businesses who complained about the amount of support. One small business owner was confused, saying, “It is said that it is a candidate for support, but it costs 1 million won.” Another small business owner also said, “I know it is 2 million won, but I have to wait for the additional payment.”
An official from the Ministry of SMEs explained, “Currently, we are paying support funds based on the database (DB) received from local governments. However, there may be differences in the amount received because there are different parts of the quarantine measures for each local government.”
He then emphasized, “We will do our best to resolve the difference that has not been received since January 25 by checking and supplementing the measures taken by local governments.” If a small business owner who can receive 2 million won originally received only 1 million won, it means that he can receive an additional 1 million won after the 25th.
The 3rd disaster support fund (supporting fund) is provided to △ prohibited group (116,000 people), △ restricted business (762,000) △ general business (1881,000). On the 12th, small business owners with an even number of business registration numbers can apply for the support fund. From the 13th, it is possible without distinction.
Outdoor winter sports facilities such as ski resorts, and facilities subject to special quarantine during the year-end and New Year holidays, such as its subsidiaries and accommodation facilities, can be received after the 25th. From next month, small business owners can apply directly from the local government after receiving a confirmation of the business type prohibiting collective or business restrictions.
