“67% don’t get tested”… 3 billion indemnity rights exercised at BTJ World Center

There were 500 new confirmed cases for two consecutive days. However, there is high concern that the BTJ World Center in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do will become a new epicenter for large-scale expansion. There are more than 660 confirmed cases, and the people in the facility are not properly receiving diagnostic tests, and the Health Insurance Service is planning to charge more than 3 billion won for medical treatment.

On the 12th day, 86 confirmed patients came out in relation to the BTJ World Center, a Christian missionary education facility in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do.

The cumulative confirmed number was 662.

Of these, 470 were infected through members of the Center of the Nations, which spread to nine provinces.

The quarantine authorities have secured a list of 3,13 people in connection with the BTJ Heating Center and are asking them to take a diagnostic test, but only one-third of visitors to the center have been tested.

Local governments such as Seoul and Gyeonggi Province even issued administrative orders to undergo diagnostic tests.

The National Health Insurance Corporation plans to exercise the right to indemnify the BTJ Center for at least 3 billion won.

The government is also considering exercising the right to indemnify.

The Korean Federation of Churches has issued a statement to Intercorp, which operates the BTJ Universal Center, saying, “Stop anti-social activities and cooperate with quarantine.”

However, Intercorp has filed an administrative lawsuit and a provisional injunction requesting the court to suspend its effect, claiming that the government’s prohibition and closing orders were excessive.
