Six to seven out of ten office workers predicted that the third epidemic of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) will end and the fourth epidemic will come. Of these, only half of the respondents said they would be vaccinated. In particular, in the 20s and 30s, there was a strong attitude to withhold “I will observe and decide side effects after others are hit.”

This is the result of the’Workplace Corona 19 Awareness Survey’ announced on the 26th by a research team from a Catholic University medical school professor Hye-sun Jeong. The survey was conducted online or in writing to 1103 people from February 8th to March 9th, together with the Catholic University of Korea, the Korea Federation of Health and Safety Organizations, and SmileFact Research, which surveyed workers over 29 years of age at business sites nationwide.

As a result of the survey, 66.8% of the respondents said that the current tertiary outbreak is more serious than the first and second outbreaks. In addition, 66.4% of respondents said that after the third outbreak, the fourth outbreak would come.

The research team analyzed that the situation in which more than 400 confirmed cases occur every day and social distancing measures such as banning groups of 5 or more people continue to prolong this response. It was judged that the fact that fears related to the mutant virus and the temptation of outside activities became stronger as the weather became warmer could be the basis for the 4th outbreak.
