At around 10:52 pm on the 20th, a fire broke out in the hills of Banghari, Danchon-myeon, Uiseong-gun, Gyeongbuk, and burned 0.02ha of forest.

The fire was extinguished at around 0:10 on the 21st, 20 minutes after 80 people including specialized forest fire prevention and extinguishing crews and 10 fire trucks were put in.

It was revealed that the fire was cooked and eaten by the villagers.

An official from the Korea Forest Service said, “We plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the fire against men in their 60s who set out fires and punish them according to the Forest Protection Act.”
