[IT비즈뉴스 한지선 기자] KT is launching an online-only plan that allows you to use 200GB of 5G data for around 50,000 won.

On the 8th, KT announced on the 9th that it will release two types of online-only 5G/LET plans that can be subscribed to at its online mall.

The 5G Y uncontracted plan provides 200GB of data for 55,000 won per month, and the LTE Y uncontracted plan provides 100GB of data for 45,000 won per month. In both plans, when basic data is exhausted, you can use unlimited data at a speed of 5Mbps.

For customers under the age of 29, if they sign up for the Y-free plan until August 31st, there is also a promotion that gives a discount of 5500 won per month.

KT explained that it has newly established this plan in response to customer needs for ease and simplicity. The 5G lowest price plan, which provides 10GB of data for an additional 37,000 won, is scheduled to be released at the end of this month.

It also launched’self-sufficient terminal damage insurance’ for self-sufficient phone users. Self-sufficient terminal damage insurance, launched on the 5th of this month, is a service that provides insurance regardless of the purchase route or period of use of the smartphone.

A phone replacement program for self-sufficient phone users who could not subscribe to the existing replacement program will also be released on the 27th of this month. If you are a subscriber for 7 days after purchasing a self-contained phone, you can sign up and receive up to 40% compensation when returning the terminal after paying a monthly fee for 24 months.

Hyeon-jin Park, executive director of KT’s customer strategy division, explained, “With this release of the Y-free plan and insurance service, customers who use self-sufficient phones can use KT conveniently and reasonably.”
