Although the number of new coronavirus infections in Korea (Corona 19) per day has fallen to 500, the quarantine authorities are not releasing tensions as group infections are continuing in large-scale workplaces and in everyday spaces.
The Central Defense Response Headquarters announced that as of 0 o’clock on the 19th, there were 561 new cases of Corona 19 as of the previous day. There were 6 additional deaths and the average fatality rate in Korea was 1.80%.

The number of new corona19 confirmed cases has risen to 600 for two days in a row since the 17th and then dropped to 500. In the last week, the number of new confirmed cases per day was 362 → 326 → 343 (it was initially announced as 344 and corrected) → 457 → 621 → 621 → 561. The average number of confirmed cases per day for the last week (February 13-19) is 470.
Looking at the route of infection on the day, there were 533 local outbreaks and 28 foreign inflows, of which 396 confirmed cases occurred in the metropolitan area, including 182 in Gyeonggi, 177 in Seoul, and 37 in Incheon. Nationally, 17 new cases have been confirmed.

The remaining 18 were positive while self-quarantine in Gyeonggi (7), Seoul/Chungnam (3), Gangwon (2), Daegu, Incheon, Gwangju (1 each) local residence or temporary living facility.
The number of deaths increased by 6 from the previous day to a cumulative 1,544. The average fatality rate in Korea is 1.80%. The number of patients with severe gastric disorders was 153, which was 8 fewer than the previous day. Until this day, the number of confirmed patients released from quarantine was 76,513, up 617 from the previous day, and 8,065 patients are currently undergoing quarantine treatment.
To date, the number of tests performed after reporting suspected corona19 patients in Korea is 6,345,000,992, of which 6.18,748 cases were negative, and the remaining 71,116 cases await the results.

Outbreaks are continuing nationwide. During the follow-up of contacts at Soonchunhyang University Seoul Hospital in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, the number of confirmed patients reached 171, and the number of confirmed patients increased to 110. As of the previous day, 123 people were confirmed at the plastics manufacturing plant in the Jingwan industrial complex in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, and 149 confirmed cases at the cricket boiler manufacturing plant in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do were positive. Group infection related to family gatherings during the Lunar New Year holiday also continued. Nine were confirmed in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, 7 in Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongbuk, and 6 in Yeongdo-gu, Busan.
