Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun said on the 2nd that the number of confirmed coronaviruses per day recorded 500 people for three consecutive days, saying, “It is a very dangerous situation to worry about whether or not you are taking a breath at the beginning of the 4th epidemic.”

Prime Minister Chung said at a meeting of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters for Corona 19 presiding at the government office on the same day, “The number of confirmed cases per day recorded 500 for three consecutive days, and there is great concern as the infection spreads not only in the metropolitan area, but also in other regions.”

He said, “We must not repeat the situation in which the number of confirmed cases, which had been in the 500th range in the process of the 3rd epidemic in full swing last winter, doubled in just five days.”

Prime Minister Jeong said, “This weekend on Easter (4th), going out and moving are expected to increase, and there will be a lot of people who go out and go to the shrine to meet Cheongmyeong and Korean food,” he said. “Please spend the weekend with awareness of quarantine.”

He said, “There have been 290 cases of mutant virus infection in Korea, and 100 cases of infection in local communities have been confirmed,” he said. “Please, the quarantine authorities should take fundamental measures to prevent the mutant virus from becoming the beginning of the 4th epidemic,” he said.
