The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that as of 0 o’clock on the 17th, the number of confirmed coronavirus infections (Corona 19) in Korea increased by 469 compared to the same time the day before. A total of 621,734 responded to the Corona 19 vaccination, which began on the 26th of last month. The number of AstraZeneca vaccinations was 58,996 and Pfizer vaccination was 33,738. Cumulative 9,003 cases were reported as suspected of adverse reactions.
Of the new confirmed cases, 452 are community outbreaks. There were 323 people in Seoul (120 people), Gyeonggi (182), and Incheon (21) only in the metropolitan area. Of these, 62 were confirmed after an anonymous examination at the temporary screening inspection center in the metropolitan area. In addition, 45 from Gyeongnam, 21 from Jeonbuk, 14 from Daegu, 12 from Chungbuk, 10 each from Busan and Gangwon, 6 from Chungnam, 4 from Gyeongbuk, 3 from Ulsan, 2 from Sejong, Two people each occurred in Daejeon and Jeju. There were 17 foreign inflow cases, of which 9 were counted as Koreans. Nine were diagnosed during the quarantine stage and eight were self-contained after entering the country.
The number of quarantine releases, which means cure, has increased by 559, accumulating to 88,814. The death toll increased by 8 to 1,686. The number of gastric and severe patients decreased by 3 to 100.
