428 new coronavirus confirmed… 400 again in one day

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) announced that as of 0 o’clock on the 24th, the number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Korea increased by 428 compared to the same time the day before. A total of 783,612 people responded to the Corona 19 vaccination, which began on the 26th of last month. The number of people who received the AstraZeneca vaccine was 639,724, and the number of those who received the Pfizer vaccine was 59,888. Cumulative 9,932 cases were reported as suspected of adverse reactions.

Of the new confirmed cases, 411 are community outbreaks. There were 306 people in the metropolitan area, including Seoul (135), Gyeonggi (150), and Incheon (21). Of these, 54 were confirmed after an anonymous examination at the temporary screening inspection center in the metropolitan area. In addition, 27 in Gyeongnam, 18 in Gangwon, 17 in Daegu, 16 in Busan, 12 in Gyeongbuk, 6 in Chungbuk, 4 in Jeonbuk, 2 in Gwangju and Daejeon, and 1 in Ulsan did. Patients occurred in 13 cities and provinces nationwide excluding Sejong, Jeonnam, Jeju, and Chungnam.

The number of foreign inflow cases was 17, of which 13 were counted as foreigners. Eight people were diagnosed in the quarantine stage and 9 people in self-isolation after entering the country.

The number of quarantine releases, which means cure, increased by 481 people, accumulating to 91,560 people. The death toll increased by 3 to 1,707. The number of gastric and severe patients increased by 10 to 111.
