An employee of a water purifier door-to-door sales company, who had lived in a camp in a closed school in Ganghwa-do, Incheon, was collectively infected with the coronavirus. They are also known to be under suspicion that they are related to certain religions.

According to an official in Ganghwa-gun, Incheon City on the 27th, 42 people, including employees of water purifier door-to-door sales companies who lived in camps at closed schools in Gilsang-myeon and shopping centers, were confirmed as coronavirus.

Of these, 14 were confirmed in Ganghwa-gun, and the remaining 28 were confirmed as a result of corona testing in Gwanak-gu, Seoul. Ganghwa-gun reported that 36 out of 42 confirmed patients had lived in camps at a closed school in Gilsang-myeon and six in a nearby shopping district.

As a result of a survey by the quarantine authorities and Ganghwa-gun, a total of 58 people were identified with door-to-door sales companies who lived in camps. Of the people excluding the confirmed cases, 6 were negative, and the remaining 10 were undergoing tests.

It turns out that the employees of door-to-door sales companies, who were confirmed to be confirmed this time, have been occupying the closed school facility without permission since 2012.

During the investigation process, some employees insisted on staying at the closed school facility and did not open the door, and it was reported that there were people who confused the epidemiological investigation, such as making false statements about the traffic line. Ganghwa Army accused them of violating the Infectious Disease Prevention Act to the police.

Ganghwa-gun believes that the door-to-door sales company is also related to a specific religion, and is investigating the movements, contacts, and activities of those concerned.

“It is expected that the number of confirmed cases related to the company will increase in the future,” said Yoo Cheon-ho, the head of Ganghwa-gun, saying, “I will find and inspect contacts until the end and hold them accountable.”
