In particular, as the weather gets warmer in spring, the amount of movement can increase due to weekend outings and meetings, so the quarantine authorities are tense closely.

In Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province, an additional 16 people were tested positive in a preemptive examination for foreigners in the region, and about 10 people were confirmed in Eumseong, North Chungcheong Province, mainly foreign employees working for glass manufacturers.

In addition, a group outbreak involving a restaurant in Nowon-gu, Seoul, a clothing exporter in Goyang City, a textile manufacturer in Pocheon City, an employee of Anyang City Hall in Gyeonggi Province, a food company in Cheongju City, and the Hangun Union in Seo-gu, Busan, has also been confirmed.

There were 14 confirmed overseas inflows, 3 fewer than the previous day (17).

Six of the confirmed cases were confirmed during quarantine at the airport or port. The remaining eight were tested positive while self-isolation at residential or temporary living facilities in Seoul, Gwangju (2 each), Daegu, Incheon, Sejong, and Gyeonggi (1 each).

It is estimated that the confirmed cases came from 10 countries, and there are 7 Koreans and 7 foreigners each.

By country, there are three UAE, two each in the United States and Pakistan, and one each in the Philippines, Indonesia, Bahrain, Brazil, Guatemala, Senegal, and Nigeria.

When local outbreaks and overseas inflows (excluding quarantine) are combined, there are 321 people in the metropolitan area, including 128 in Seoul, 173 in Gyeonggi, and 20 in Incheon. Nationally, new confirmed cases have appeared in 16 cities and provinces excluding Daejeon.

The number of deaths increased by 5 from the previous day to a cumulative 1,632. The average fatality rate in Korea is 1.77%.

There were a total of 136 patients with severe gastric disorders, an increase of 1 from the previous day.

By this day, the number of confirmed cases lifted from quarantine increased by 353 to 82,000,913, and the number of patients undergoing quarantine treatment increased by 60 to a total of 7,510.

The number of corona 19 diagnostic tests conducted in Korea so far is 68,21,943 cases, of which 666,717 cases were negative, and the remaining 65,000,171 cases are waiting for the results.

The number of examinations through the screening clinic the day before was 32,000,932, which is 4,179 fewer than the 37,000,111 the day before.
