Kiwoom Heroes infielder Kim Ha-seong (26) has signed a contract with the American Professional Baseball Major League (MLB) San Diego (SD) Padris.
On the 1st, Kim Ha-sung’s agent, ASPEC CORPORATION, announced through a press release that Kim Ha-sung entered the major leagues by breaking the highest amount ever posted by KBO batters.
According to the agent, Ha-Sung Kim’s contract is a condition of receiving a maximum of 39 million dollars (about 4.43 billion won) in a contract period of 4+1 years, which is the highest amount ever posted by batters in KBO.
The San Diego club said, “Head of AJ Freller announced that he signed a four-year contract with Ha-Sung Kim, and that if the mutual option is implemented, the contract will be until 2025.” It was officially announced.
“Kim Ha-seong will be the first Korean beast in the club’s history,” he explained.
San Diego left a message to welcome Kim Ha-sung’s entry into the major leagues through social media, and released a photo of Kim Ha-sung wearing the Korean national team uniform.
With this contract, Kim Ha-sung’s team, Kiwoom Heroes, will receive a transfer fee of $55,550,000, or about 6 billion won.
The batter who entered the major leagues with the posting system is the third after Kang Jung-ho and Park Byeong-ho. Ha-seong Kim is a direct junior to raising Kang Jeong-ho and Park Byung-ho. In particular, after Kang Jung-ho left for the major league, he grew up as Kiwoom’s leading shortstop.
