Smart factory construction support for small and medium-sized companies
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the’Samsung Electronics Partners Association’. Members of Hyeopseonghoe are continuing their journey of’shared growth’ with Samsung Electronics, with sales increasing 25 times and the number of employees more than 6 times in 30 years.
On the 27th, Samsung Electronics released a video of the journey that has led the development of the Korean IT industry and the status of today in its’News Room’.
Under the theme of ’40 Years of Companion to the Best’, this video shows the achievements of localization of technology, the world’s No. 1 challenge, and win-win practices of the members of the Hyupsung Society, where Samsung Electronics has been together to become the world’s No. I am introducing.
The’Cooperative Association’ was established in 1981 by 39 primary partners for the purpose of mutual development through maintaining smooth cooperative relationships between Samsung Electronics and partner companies, exchanging information, and joint technology development. Currently, 201 companies are registered as members.

Together with Samsung Electronics, the members of the Hyupsung Association also made a quantum and qualitative leap forward, growing as a pillar of the Korean economy. They succeeded by challenging the localization of core technologies and introduced world-class products.
The total sales of 201 companies of Hyeopseonghoe last year amounted to about 57.900 trillion won, and the number of employees employed was about 283,000. Companies with more than 1 trillion won in sales also reach 9 locations including Dongwoo Finechem, SFA, MCNEX, Partron, and Daedeok Electronics. When comparing 1991 and 2019 of Hyeopseonghoe member companies, sales increased by more than 25 times and the number of employees employed increased by more than 6 times.
Daedeok Electronics, a PCB (printed circuit board) company, increased 121 times from 8.8 billion won in sales in 1980 to 1.72 trillion won in 2019, and its number of employees increased by 12 times from 280 to 3,500.

Wonik IPS succeeded in localizing CVD equipment and core technologies used to manufacture semiconductor wafers with technical support from Samsung Electronics in 2018 as the 3D NAND flash market expanded. CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) refers to a process in which a gaseous chemical component forms a thin film by a chemical reaction on a substrate.
‘Intops’, a mobile phone exterior injection company, has developed a new material plastic used in products such as’Galaxy A51 5G’ and’Galaxy A21S’ launched this year. By applying a new method, it can maintain the strength and gloss of tempered glass, and can express various colors, contributing to the launch of various colored smartphones.
