Jeong Eun-kyung, head of the Bangdae Headquarters (Director of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) explained, “All symptoms reported as abnormal reactions after vaccination are symptoms that can appear during normal immunity formation, and most disappear without special treatment within 3 days.”

However, it explained that the Agency for Disease Control and Prevention is monitoring adverse reactions that may appear following the introduction of new vaccines through various surveillance systems.

Doctors who treat suspected adverse reactions after vaccination must report in accordance with the law, and only those who consent to receiving text messages among the vaccinators are guided to send text messages and report them through the website of the vaccination assistant.

Daebon Bang also added that it is actively monitoring the vaccine from the day of vaccination to 6 weeks (including the second vaccination) by sending text messages to some of the inoculations to identify potential safety issues related to the vaccine for each corona19 vaccine.
