Kia surpassed the 100,000 won mark for the first time in history in anticipation of Apple car production. In the auto industry, it is said that Kia is advancing the discussion toward accepting Apple’s proposal. Experts believe that the stock price has skyrocketed recently, but there is ample upside potential if cooperation with Apple is officially announced.

On the 3rd, Kia finished the market at 9,7700 won, up 9.65% (8600 won). At one time during the week, it soared to 102,000 won. It was affected by a report from a media outlet that announced that Apple would invest about 4 trillion won in Kia for electric car production cooperation. The company immediately said “it has not been decided”, but investors did not leave. Again, as various related theories steadily came out, expectations turned into confidence.
In the auto industry, there are talks that Kia is positively reviewing Apple’s proposal. It is reported that Kia is also contemplating Apple cars as a new food, along with its new electric car lineup. It is reported that Apple is reviewing the Apple Car as a card that will grow the company along with the purpose-based mobility (PBV) business, which has recently been working hard.
Even among Apple experts, there is a prospect that Apple cars can be produced at Kia’s Georgia plant in the US. Guo Ming-chi, a researcher at Taiwan TF International Securities, who is known as an Apple expert, said, “Based on Hyundai Motor’s E-GMP platform, Apple makes the first batch of Apple cars. I will try to pass it over.” In addition, he added that Hyundai Mobis will lead the part design and production, and Kia will be in charge of production in the US.
The analysis is also being re-evaluated that it would be less profitable than expected if it became a simple subcontractor of Apple. Tae-woo Kim, CEO of KTB Asset Management, said, “Apple puts strict conditions in the smartphone production process and created a structure that does not yield great profits to its partners, but if Hyundai Motor Group and Apple car production collaborate, Hyundai Motor Group will take the initiative.” He said, “While cooperation with Kia is strong, if such contents are officially announced, global organizations can invest in large numbers.”
