Im Seong-jae (23), 18th in the men’s golf world rankings, challenges to win the first season of the season.

Lim Sung-jae will participate in the American Express held at the PGA West La Quinta Country Club in La Quinta, California, USA on the 22nd (Korean time).

PGA expected Im Seong-jae as the winner from the Sony Open last week. Before American Express, Im Seong-jae was predicted to be third in the power rankings.

Lim Sung-jae tied for 5th in the Sentry Tournament of Champions, a’Wang-jung-wang’-style tournament that ended on the 11th, but remained tied for 56th in the Sony Open.

Im Seong-jae, who showed good looks at the first contest of the new year, aims for the top again.

Lim Seong-jae, who won the first PGA tour of his life at the Honda Classic in March last year, has not won the title since.

Along with Im Seong-jae, newcomers Kim Joo-hyung (19), Ahn Byung-hoon (30), Kang Seong-hoon (34), Kim Si-woo (26), Lee Gyeong-hoon (30), and Noh Seung-yeol (30) will also participate in the competition.

Kim Joo-hyung competes with the prominent players as a sponsor of the American Express.

Kevin, a Korean-American who won the championship at the Sony Open, will challenge to win for two weeks in a row.

Six of the top 20 players in the world are expected to compete in the competition. World rankings 2nd place John Lam (Spain), 10th place Patrick Cantley, 11th place Patrick Reed, 12th place Brooks Kepka (above the United States) were also listed on the list.

Phil Mickelson (USA), who won two championships in this competition, participates as the host of the competition.

Mickelson, who turned 50 last year, is aiming for his 45th PGA Tour title.

The competition will feature 156 players and will be held on the PGA West Stadium Course and the Nicklaus Tournament Course. After passing through the 36-hole cut, the final 3rd and 4th rounds will only take place on the stadium course.
