A confirmed case related to the collective infection of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) that occurred at the Asan plant in Chungnam was also from Incheon.
Incheon city announced on the 18th that 39 additional people, including four related to the cricket boiler plant in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, were confirmed to be corona19.
All four infected people in the Incheon area related to the Asan plant were identified as family members of the confirmed cases related to the group infection case.
According to the Central Defense Response Headquarters, there were 149 cumulative confirmed cases related to the group infection as of the day.
Three additional confirmed cases related to small-scale group infection in Incheon area were also added.
In relation to the Jung-gu customs company and the western hospital, where the recent group infection occurred, 2 and 1 were positive during self-quarantine, respectively, resulting in 24 and 14 cumulative cases.
A medical institution in Bupyeong-gu, where 10 related confirmed cases were found in Incheon from the 11th to the 16th, was also classified as a new case of group infection.
Among the new confirmed cases, 32 including 4 related to the plant in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do were classified as contacts of the existing confirmed cases.
One person who entered Korea from abroad was also tested positive, and the path of infection of the remaining three people is under investigation.
The number of new confirmed cases by region was 11 in Bupyeong-gu, 9 in Seo-gu, 6 in each of Namdong-gu and Ganghwa-gun, 3 in each of Michuhol-gu and Yeonsu-gu, and 1 in Jung-gu.
As of the afternoon of the previous day, 8 out of 51 treatment beds for severely ill patients in Incheon are in use, and 84 out of 782 are dedicated to infectious diseases.
As of this day, there are 4,244 cumulative corona19 confirmed cases in Incheon.
