In Japan, the number of new coronavirus infections (Corona 19) increased by 3609.

On the 30th, the local public broadcaster NHK reported that the number of corona19 confirmed cases increased by 3609 the day before, and the cumulative confirmed number was 22,097. The number of deaths increased by 59 to 3397.

In the last week until the 29th, the number of corona19 confirmed in Japan increased by 23,671 people. This weekly increase in confirmed cases is the highest since Corona 19 began to spread in Japan.

Compared to the previous week, the increase in confirmed cases increased by 4660 (24.5%).

Amid the rapid increase, the number of confirmed cases of the mutated Corona 19 virus, which is known to be up to 70% more contagious than the existing virus, is increasing, and the quarantine authorities are tense.

In Japan, 15 confirmed mutant viruses, including 14 confirmed mutant viruses from the UK and 1 confirmed mutant virus from South Africa.

Kyodo News Agency reported that the Japanese government has delivered a policy to the Japan Olympic Committee (JOC) that it will stop entering the athletes by the end of January next year to some countries and regions where the mutant virus has been confirmed.
