The number of new confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Korea, which recorded 300 people for the last two consecutive days, is expected to surpass 400 again tomorrow.

According to the quarantine authorities and local governments on the 23rd, 336 new confirmed cases came out from 0am to 6pm on the day. This is an increase of 82 people compared to the 254 total at the same time the day before.

By region, 256 people were confirmed in the metropolitan area and 80 were confirmed in the non-metropolitan area.

In the metropolitan area, Gyeonggi had 123 and Seoul had 117. In the non-capital region, Gyeongbuk was the largest with 17 people, followed by Incheon 16, Gwangju 15, Daegu 13, Busan 11, Chungnam 7, Gyeongnam 5, and Jeonbuk 4 people. In addition, 3 people were confirmed in Ulsan and Gangwon, and 1 each in Chungbuk and Jeju.

Four additional people were confirmed in connection with the Seoul Hospital of Soonchunhyang University in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Two additional people were added to the cricket boiler plant in Asan, Chungnam.

Considering the number of confirmed cases that will be released during the remaining time, the number of new confirmed cases announced as of 0:00 on the 24th is likely to exceed 400. The previous day, after 6 pm, 103 people increased to 357 people as of 0 pm on the 23rd.
