The number of confirmed cases has increased to 30 so far after receiving the first vaccine for coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Korea.
According to the Corona 19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team (Promotion Team) on the 20th, the quarantine authorities compared the details of the report of the confirmed patient and the details of the registration of the inoculation, and as of 0 o’clock the previous day, a total of 30 people were confirmed after vaccination.
By type of vaccine, 27 AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine and 3 Pfizer vaccine. At the time of confirmation, 13 cases were confirmed within one week (7 days) after vaccination, accounting for 43.3% of the total. The remaining 17 were confirmed on the 8th to 14th day, that is, 2 weeks after vaccination.
By gender, there were 23 women, more than 7 men. By age group, 9 people were in their 30s, followed by 20s and 50s (7 people each).
The occupations of the confirmed patients were mostly medical institution workers and medical personnel. There were 19 non-medical workers, including physical therapists, clinical pathologists, nutritionists, and nursing assistants, 10 medical personnel, and 1 patient.
“It is estimated that the confirmed patients were infected before receiving the COVID-19 vaccine or immediately after receiving the vaccination, but before the immunity was still generated,” said Byeong-taek Bae, head of the situation general manager of the promotion group.
