Amid the ongoing’third pandemic’ of a new coronavirus infection in Korea (Corona 19), the number of new confirmed cases on the 20th was mid-400.

However, as the aftermath of the mass outbreak of large-scale workplaces continues, and large and small infections are continuing in everyday spaces such as family and acquaintances, workplaces, restaurants, and academies, the size of confirmed cases can grow again at any time.

In particular, the effects of the Lunar New Year holidays (2.11-14) and the easing of the’social distancing’ stage, when large-scale population movement occurred, are likely to appear gradually from now on, and the quarantine authorities are raising their senses.

The government plans to observe the situation this weekend, holidays, and early next week, and then review whether to adjust the level of quarantine response.

◇ Out of the 414 local occurrences, 315 in the metropolitan area and 99 in the non-metropolitan area

The Central Defense Response Headquarters announced that as of 0 o’clock on the day, the number of new corona 19 confirmed cases increased by 446, accumulating 86,000,574.

It was 115 people less than the previous day (561 people).

The number of new confirmed cases, which has soared to 1,000 people a day since the third pandemic began in earnest in mid-November last year, has shown a gradual decline in the new year, but recently, as large and small infections continue to occur across the country, it is again showing an uneasy pattern.

In particular, during the Lunar New Year holidays (2.11-14), the number of people was maintained at 300, and then rapidly increased again, raising concerns over whether the holiday infection will be in full swing with alleviation of’social distancing’.

During the last week (2.14~20), the number of new confirmed cases per day recorded 326 → 343 → 457 → 621 → 621 → 561 → 446. During this period, 300 people came 2 times, 400 people came 2 times, 500 people came once, and 600 people came 2 times.

Looking at the path of infection of the new confirmed patients on this day, 414 local outbreaks and 32 overseas inflows.

Looking at the areas where there were confirmed local outbreaks, the metropolitan area (119 in Seoul, 161 in Gyeonggi, and 35 in Incheon) was 315, down by 81 from the previous day (396).

In the non-capital area, there were 16 people in Gyeongbuk and Chungbuk each, 14 in Busan, 12 in Chungnam, 9 in Daegu, 8 in each of Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, and Gyeongnam, 3 in Gangwon, 2 in Daejeon and Jeju, and 1 in Gwangju. There were a total of 99 confirmed cases of outbreaks in the non-metropolitan area, down to double digits in five days since the last 15 days (68).

In the case of major group infections, 19 patients were added at the Seoul Hospital of Soonchunhyang University in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and the cumulative number of patients increased to 189 the previous day, and the number of confirmed cases related to Hanyang University Hospital in Seongdong-gu was 113.

The number of confirmed cases related to the plastic factory in Jingwan Industrial Complex in Namyang-si, Gyeonggi-do increased by 7 to a cumulative 129, and the number of confirmed cases related to the cricket boiler factory in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do increased to 160.

In addition, additional infections followed in cases such as academy in Songpa-gu, Seoul (accumulated 28), sauna in Gangbuk-gu (49), meat processing company in Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do (12), and nursing hospital (35) in Seongnam.

◇ 3 patients with severe gastric disorders, a total of 156 people… Confirmed in 16 cities and provinces nationwide

There were 32 confirmed overseas inflows, 4 more than the previous day (28).

Seven of the confirmed cases were confirmed during quarantine at the airport or port. The remaining 25 were trained in Gyeonggi (9), Seoul/Gwangju (4 each), Gyeongbuk (3), Incheon/Gangwon (2 each), Ulsan (1) while self-isolation at local residences or temporary living facilities. I was judged.

When local outbreaks and overseas inflows (excluding quarantine) are combined, the total number of people in the metropolitan area is 330, including 123 in Seoul, 170 in Gyeonggi, and 37 in Incheon. Nationally, new confirmed cases have appeared in 16 provinces excluding Sejong.

The number of examinations at the screening clinic the previous day was 44637, which was 1,859 more than the 42,778 the previous day.

The positive rate, calculated as compared to the number of tests on the previous day, was 1.00% (446 out of 44,637), which was slightly lower than 1.31% (561 out of 42,778) the day before. The cumulative positive rate as of 0 o’clock on this day is 1.35% (86,574 out of 6,639,29).
