On the 12th (as of 6 pm), 298 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) occurred nationwide.
According to the health authorities, as of 6 p.m. on that day, out of 17 metropolitan local governments nationwide, confirmed cases were found in 14 provinces excluding Jeonnam, Ulsan, and Jeju.
The previous day (11th), 12 people decreased from 310 people (final 403) in the same time zone, and it is expected to enter the 300 range again, considering additional confirmed cases overnight. It is analyzed that the number of confirmed cases, which began to decrease during the holiday season, was affected by the decrease in the number of people undergoing diagnostic tests.
By region, the confirmed cases were Seoul 120, Gyeonggi 76, Incheon 30, Busan 26, Chungnam 14, Daegu 8, Gyeongbuk 5, Daejeon 4, Chungbuk, Gyeongnam, Jeonbuk 3 each, Gwangju, Gangwon, Sejong 2 people in order.
In the Gyeonggi area, 10 additional confirmed cases related to the Victory Altar of the Holy Assembly of Youngsaenggyo in Bucheon City, where group infection occurred. In Busan, 18 people, including one employee and 17 residents, were confirmed at Songsan Nursing Home in Jung-gu, where four employees were confirmed the day before. In a nursing facility in Yeongdo-gu, one family member of the employee who was confirmed the previous day was confirmed on this day. In addition, one patient at Good Healing Hospital (25 cumulative), 2 employees at Gijang Hospital (13 cumulative), and 1 employee at Bugok Nursing Hospital (95 cumulative) were confirmed.
