As the spread of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Korea continued, there were confirmed cases across the country on the 6th.
According to the quarantine authorities and local governments such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government, a total of 298 new confirmed cases nationwide tested positive for Corona 19 from 0 a.m. to 6 p.m. on that day.
It is 24 fewer than 322 people counted at the same time the day before.
In the area where confirmed cases were found, 244 (81.9%) in the metropolitan area and 54 (18.1%) in the non-metropolitan area.
By city and province, 114 in Seoul, 103 in Gyeonggi, 27 in Incheon, 11 in Gyeongbuk, 8 in Daegu and Gangwon, 7 in Chungbuk, 5 in Busan, 3 in Ulsan, Jeonbuk, and Jeonnam, 2 in each of Jeju and Chungnam, and Daejeon · Gyeongnam is 1 each.
Of the 17 cities and provinces nationwide, there have not been confirmed cases in Gwangju and Sejong.
As there is still time until midnight when the count is closed, the number of new confirmed cases to be announced as of 0:00 on the 7th is expected to increase further, reaching around 400 in the mid-to-late range of 300.
The previous day, by midnight, the number of people increased by 96 and ended at 418.
The number of new confirmed patients per day, which had been declining with a gentle downward curve this year, surged to 600 right after the Lunar New Year holiday (2.11-14) last month, but has been stagnant, rising to 300-400 over the next 15 months.
During the last week (2.28~3.6), the number of new confirmed patients per day recorded 355 → 355 → 344 → 444 → 424 → 398 → 418, an average of 391 per day.
Among them, about 372 confirmed cases of local outbreaks on average per week, a key indicator of the adjustment of the’social distancing’ stage. In addition, 10 people, including family and acquaintances, were confirmed at an acquaintance meeting in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, and 11 were confirmed at an acquaintance meeting in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province.
In addition, the cumulative number of cases of foreign group infections in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi-do increased to 132, and 64 infected cases have been reported so far in relation to fitness in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do.
