Gyeongbuk Province is speeding up preparations, such as installing an inoculation center for rapid and safe COVID-19 vaccination.

According to Gyeongsangbuk-do on the 27th, there are 2.27 million people (1.9 million priority vaccination targets) in the province to be vaccinated against Corona 19, and they will start vaccination in February and complete it by November according to the priority designated by the government.

To this end, a response promotion team and a regional council were formed to serve as vaccination control towers in cities and counties.

In addition, by the middle of next month, 24 vaccination centers (one per city/gun and two in Pohang) will be set up in 23 cities and counties, and 1,000 consigned medical institutions will be designated and operated.

1,105 medical and administrative personnel will be put into the vaccination center, and additional medical personnel will be secured in cooperation with the medical association and nurses association.

In cooperation with the fire department headquarters and the National Police Agency, it is also working on emergency patient treatment and transportation, vaccination center security, and traffic safety management.

During the vaccination period, the province plans to prepare measures such as operating a shuttle bus and passing through a city bus route for transportation convenience.

After vaccination, safety management is also strengthened.

In order to quickly respond to adverse reactions after vaccination, a government official in charge of each town, village, and dong is designated and additional monitoring is performed after returning home.

If there is a specific matter, it will be immediately transferred to a medical institution, and a joint public-private rapid response team will be formed with experts in the medical field to quickly respond to severe adverse reactions.

Kim Jin-hyun, head of the North Gyeongsang Province Welfare and Health Bureau, said, “We will make thorough preparations, such as securing vaccines and managing subjects, in accordance with the government’s plan for the corona 19 vaccination to be announced on the 28th.
