The NBA Secretariat announced on the 19th that “the 2021 NBA All-Star Game will be held on the 8th of next month at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, home of the Atlanta Hawks, as an unattended game.”
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver gave meaning to viewers around the world, saying that it is possible to continue the tradition of the All-Star War.
The NBA Secretariat announced that in November of last year, before the opening of the 2020-2021 season, the All-Star game, scheduled to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, in February 2021, in the aftermath of the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19), to 2024.
The NBA All-Star game, which started in 1951, did not take place only once in 1999, when the League of Players (NBPA) strike disrupted the league progress.
However, after the opening of the new season at the end of December of last year, the NBA Secretariat has promoted the all-star game again and consulted with the athletes’ association.

Prior to the All-Star game, a skill challenge and a three-point shoot contest will be held, and a slam dunk contest will be held at half time after the second quarter.
This is the first time that all-star events are held overnight.
The NBA Secretariat and the Athletes Association plan to raise more than $2.5 million (about 2.8 billion won) in funding through this All-Star Game to support black universities (HBCUs) and Corona 19 treatment, relief, and vaccine distribution.
The game system, first introduced last year, will continue this year.
The first to third quarters start with 0-0 and the team that scores the most in 12 minutes wins.
The final fourth quarter continues without a time limit until the target score,’target score’, is reached.
The target score is 24 points. NBA legend Kobe Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash in January last year, was conceived from the number ’24’ as a player. The final winner of the All-Star Match must be achieved first by adding 24 points to the total score of the team leading up to the third quarter.
In the all-star fan vote, the player who won the first place in the East/West conference becomes the captain of each team, and the player who will be one team with himself is selected through the draft method.
The NBA secretariat is planning to play this All-Star game in a’mini bubble’ method, such as holding a match without spectators and letting the entire team use one lodging, taking into account the Corona 19 situation.
