[이데일리 스타in 김보영 기자] Actor Nam Gung-min was honored to receive the first grand prize after debut through ‘2020 SBS Drama Awards’.

Nam Gung-min won the grand prize for the role of’Stove League’ Baek Seung-soo at the ‘2020 SBS Drama Awards’ held at the Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 1st. On this day, the grand prize winners Kim Nam-gil and Studio S CEO Han Jeong-hwan participated.

Nam Gung-min said, “Thank you so much. In fact, it was here at SBS that I took on a fixed role for the first time while playing a single role since I was a child.” He said, “I am grateful and happy for giving me a big prize now that time has passed.” “I am so grateful to SBS officials. ‘Stove League’ was a drama that really meant a lot to me. Each and every one who came out was precious, and the actors and staff who came out together while watching the drama always looked pretty and were grateful. In fact, when I think of a drama, I thought that the most important thing was the direction and the breath of the actor, but in that respect, I thought it was the most perfect drama I’ve ever experienced. I think Stoverig’s color wasn’t properly applied because there was a certain standard of the director. Also, writer Shinhwa Lee, I actually have a lot of history to tell you, but when I was first proposed to this script, I was really curious about the type of drama that I play baseball because it is actually a baseball drama. After reading the script, I met the author the next day, and I can’t forget my eyes. The writer gave me ten stories to one question to the question I was thinking of with a bright look, and since then, the stories have been so structured that I was so impressed that I was very impressed, and I kept thinking about how I could handle the character Baek Seung-soo while going home same. Thank you so much.”

“After the drama was over, I came across the author’s SNS post. He showed me that the graffiti that I wrote could never be dramatized after the drama was over, but I didn’t like it. Because it was so similar to the feelings I felt in the past. The author was wrong. Our drama became a good drama and gave us a big prize. He was really the best writer,” he said. “As I get older, I think about the people around me a lot. The people who were always on my side, my mother, my father, my younger brother, especially my mother, were unwell. I hope you will continue to be healthy in the future. I want to work harder,” he added.

“I actually wanted to win an award. I didn’t want to receive it just to win the award, but because when I received this award, I had something I wanted to say at the official seat, but I must finally tell this story.” “When I am always struggling and lonely, I want to cry, There are people who are there. These are the people who have seen everything I can’t see, but they are the staff. The manager, the stylist, and the makeup team are very grateful and love. One thing is clear: Without these people, I would not have been there and I would not have been able to stand here.”

Meanwhile, the ‘2020 SBS Drama Awards’ was broadcast live without spectators in the aftermath of Corona 19. MC Dong-yeop Shin and Yoo-jeong Kim were in charge of the awards ceremony.
