Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun said on the 26th, “The government will maintain the current distancing stage and ban on meetings of more than 5 people for two weeks from next week.”

Prime Minister Chung said this in all remarks at the Corona 19 Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters meeting held at the Seoul Government Complex this morning. From the 13th of last month, the government has maintained the second stage in the metropolitan area and 1.5 stages in the non-capital area. It will be at this stage by the 11th of next month.

Prime Minister Chung said, “Along with this, we will do our best to ensure that the 3rd outbreak escapes from the stagnation period and enters a stable period by implementing additional quarantine measures.” He said, “With the number of confirmed patients of 300 to 400 per day continuing for 10 weeks, the fatigue from distance is increasing, while the tension is gradually loosening, so I am concerned.”

Prime Minister Jung said, “We are going to apply the’basic quarantine rules’ prepared for the reorganization of the new distance system,” he said. In addition, he said, “We will expand the diagnostic test to find the symptom as soon as possible,” and “We will put a week of preparation period for the implementation of thorough basic quarantine rules in the field.”

Regarding the implementation of the new distance distancing system, he said, “We will push forward a plan to apply a pilot plan only to regions where the proposed proposals discussed so far are desired.”
