The State Department announced the facts of the call through a press release on the day, saying, “Minister Blincoln emphasized that the United States will continue to support human rights and democratic values, including Xinjiang, Tibet, and Hong Kong. I pressured to join.”
According to the press release, Secretary Blincoln reaffirmed that he will work with allies and partners to hold China accountable for its efforts to threaten stability in the Indo-Pacific region, including the Taiwan Strait, and for ignoring the rule-based international system.
He also emphasized that it plans to cooperate in protecting the values and interests shared with allies and partners.

The first call between President Joe Biden, who took office on the 20th of last month and Chinese President Xi Jinping, has not yet been made.
