Up to 5 million won is paid to 11 types of indoor sports facilities, singing practice centers, and entertainment establishments that have been banned for the longest period, and 4 million won to academies and 2 winter sports facilities that were banned together, but were released quickly in January. In addition to such cash support, for small business owners of 1.15 million businesses subject to the government’s distancing measures, electricity bills will be reduced by half for three months for prohibited businesses, and 30% for collective restricted businesses with limited hours of operation. An official from the government said, “In the case of a group banned business, an average of 288,000 won is provided, and in the case of a group restricted business, an average of 173,000 won is provided.”
In response to the recent employment shock, emergency employment measures targeting a total of 810,000 people, and 2.8 trillion won was reflected in this supplement. In relation to quarantine measures, it reflected 2.7 trillion won to purchase and inoculate the corona vaccine, 700 billion won for diagnosis, quarantine treatment, and quarantine response, and 700 billion won for compensation for losses in medical institutions. Among the street vendors, 500,000 won is supported if the business is registered with the local government.
Meanwhile, the government decided to issue 9 trillion won worth of government bonds for the first supplement this year, worth 15 trillion won.
