147 “hidden infected people” poured out of taxis, subways, and day care centers. All are confirmed cases of a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) found through preemptive testing.

The number of hidden infections found through preemptive inspections varied. Two people were confirmed at logistics facilities such as courier and 16 at the call center. In nursing facilities, 27 people were found to be infected. Two people were also found at the postpartum care center.

As for the subway, 14 people were confirmed by Seoul Transportation Corporation and 6 people were confirmed by partner companies. An infected person was also confirmed on the bus. It was confirmed that 14 city bus drivers were infected, and 3 people were infected from the town bus. It was found that 26 general taxi drivers had Corona 19, and 5 confirmed cases occurred in call taxis with disabilities. In addition, one person came from a homeless facility and seven from a disabled facility.

The daycare center was no exception. As a result of preemptive examination, 14 people were confirmed to be confirmed, and 3 child caregivers were also found to be infected.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government explained that “in the case of workplaces with confirmed cases, the workplace is temporarily closed and then disinfected and measures are being taken to prevent the spread of further infection through in-depth epidemiological investigations.” In the case of public transportation, such as buses and subways, which are frequently used by citizens, a virus was not detected as a result of environmental samples of driving vehicles.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government decided to carry out periodic re-tests for each group based on this preemptive test. It was decided to focus and manage groups with frequent citizen contact such as taxis and subways. In addition, it is promoting preemptive inspections for water supply and gas meter readers, delivery agency workers, hypermarket workers, and traditional market merchants.
