Police decided to commit murder against aunts and aunts who were abused and killed by hitting their 10-year-old nephew or forcibly putting it into the bathtub.

The South Gyeonggi Police Agency and the Yongin Eastern Police Department announced on the 17th that they would send the married couple A’s aunt B, who died on the 17th, to the prosecution for murder and physical abuse under the Child Welfare Act.

In the morning of the 8th, Mr. B and his niece were assaulted with a plastic flapper of their nephew A in the bathroom of their apartment in Gorim-dong, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. One is being charged. This was the reason Ms. A did not listen and could not cover his urine.

When Ms. A did not breathe, they reported to 119 at about 12:35 p.m. on the same day, saying, “The child falls into the bathtub and does not breathe.” The paramedics moved to the hospital while performing CPR on Ms. A who had cardiac arrest. Died.

Hospital medical staff and paramedics reported suspected child abuse to the police when they found bruises on both sides of the body. Through an investigation, the police received a statement from Mr. B’s husband and wife that “there was a few lightly hitting a child,” and arrested him urgently on charges of violating the special law on the punishment of child abuse crimes. In a subsequent investigation, Mr. B and Mrs. B confessed about abuse and assault using water.

The police initially applied the charges of child abuse and lethality under the Special Act on the punishment of child abuse crimes to Mr. B. However, in the course of the investigation, the charges were changed to murder because they recognized that Ms. A could die while committing severe assault and abuse reminiscent of water torture.

The police said, “Generally, if the child is subjected to such violence and abuse, the child is considered to be wrong, so he applied the crime of murder because the suspects were unwilling.”
