Horses are spring camp, but February in Korea is too cold to exercise.

So, until last year, clubs left for field training to places with warmer climates and training facilities, such as the United States, Japan, and Taiwan.

However, in Korea, KIA, NC Dinos (Changwon), Lotte Giants (Busan), and Samsung Lions (Daegu), each of which are related to the southern region, set up camps in their home stadiums.

kt wiz left Suwon and held a camp in Gijang, Busan, and Hanwha Eagles left Daejeon and held a camp in Geoje, Gyeongnam. SK Wyverns, sold to Shinsegae Group E-Mart, trains in Jeju Island.

Kiwoom Heroes, the only one out of 10 clubs to use the dome stadium, remained in Seoul. Doosan Bears and LG Twins held a camp at the second military facility in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do.

On the first day of camp, which started after twists and turns, the rain bothered the players rather than the cold.

On this day, while the whole country was generally cloudy, rain was forecast in most regions except Seoul and northern Gyeonggi Province.

KIA coach Matt Williams said, “It is quite affected by the weather and the conditions of the playground. It was not a good condition to train because it snowed a lot a few days ago in Gwangju.”

NC was scheduled to do ground training at Masan Stadium on this day, but in the morning when it rained, they trained at the indoor facilities of Changwon NC Park and Masan Stadium.

The athletes were able to train normally outside Masan Stadium only after 10 am.

NC Na Seong-beom said, “It can be different by camping here, not in the United States,” he said. “It has changed due to weather variables, but the squad’s atmosphere is good.”

The SK players, who arrived in Jeju Island by plane, performed light conditioning training at the indoor training ground of Gangchanghak Baseball Stadium in Seogwipo due to weather problems.

Since the club was sold to Shinsegae Group E-Mart, SK players wear uniforms with the SK logo only until this camp.

However, the players maintained a calm expression without a sign of great agitation.
