‘Iron Man’ Yoon Seong-bin (27, Gangwon Provincial Office), who won the silver medal in the second World Cup appearance in the season, expressed his determination to continue a good atmosphere.

Sungbin Yoon recorded a total of 1 minute and 39 seconds 92 in the 7th men’s skeleton match at the 2020-21 International Bobsleigh Skeleton Federation (IBSF) World Cup held in Konigissee, Germany on the 22nd (Korean time), and Alexander Gasner (Germany, After 1 minute, 39 seconds 88), he ranked second.

Gasner won the second consecutive World Cup gold medals following the sixth tournament held in St. Moritz, Switzerland last week.

The bronze medal was for Russia’s Alexander Tretiakov (1:40:01).

Yoon Seong-bin, who won the bronze medal in the 6th tournament, which played for the first time in the season last week, won medals in a row.

The start was good. Yoon Seong-bin was ranked first in the first period. It was a better record than Gasner who won the gold medal.

From the second period to the start, it was perfect. Yoon Sung-bin made a good start in 4 seconds and 58, but won the silver medal as the speed decreased in the last curve section ahead of the finish line.

In an interview with the Federation, Yoon Sung-bin said, “In the first period, a good record came out, but in the second period, it seems that he made a mistake, not a mistake.”

Unfortunately, he missed the gold medal, but Yoon Sung-bin’s departure was smooth.

The sledding team including Yoon Sung-bin did not participate in the first half of the World Cup in the aftermath of a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19). Yoon Sung-bin also played a real battle in 11 months last week.

Yoon Seong-bin, who won the bronze medal in the 6th tournament, climbed by winning medals for two consecutive weeks.

Sungbin Yoon is aiming for the first gold medal of the season at the final 8th tournament to be held in Innsbruck, Austria on the 29th.

Yoon Sung-bin smiled, “Unfortunately, I was pushed back to second place, but I feel good because I feel that I can continue a good atmosphere in the next competition.”
