On the 21st, Hyundai Motor Company opened the’EV station Gangdong’ in Gil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul. The biggest feature is that it has a large café space as well as a charging space. It is expected to be the best shelter for electric car owners who are charging.
Hyundai EV Station Gangdong has a total floor area of 4066m2 (about 1230 pyeong). With a total of 4 floors, there is an electric vehicle charging space and a cafe on the 1st floor, a cafe on the 2nd floor, an SK magic experience space on the 3rd floor, and a Chaeum lounge on the 4th floor.
A total of 8 units can be charged in the charging space on the first floor. The high charger, which was previously shown in Gyeonggi Motor Studio Goyang, was installed in Gil-dong.
The high charger has a partial automation method applied to the connection line. The charger automatically descends near the ceiling and can be charged. It is characterized by the fact that the location of the charger can be freely moved depending on the location of the charging port for each vehicle.
The high-charger charger installed in Gil-dong is a dual type. Up to 350kW (800V) high voltage charging is possible, but when two electric vehicles are charged at the same time, it can charge up to 175kW.
Hyundai Motor Company applied a reservation system to the EV station Gangdong. If you make a reservation one hour before charging, you can charge it in a designated space. In addition, you can check the real-time charging status at the entrance of the charging station.
The cafe space, consisting of two floors, is quite spacious for the general public. In particular, it is designed so that you can see how the car is charging on the first floor from the second floor of the cafe.
There is also an EV Driving Center inside the EV Station Gangdong. Here, you can test-drive not only Kona electric cars, but also Nexo hydrogen electric vehicles. You can test drive the vehicle by making a reservation by phone or by making a reservation on the website.
