On the 13th, the first day of the Tesla Model Y electric vehicle exhibition, the public’s interest in seeing the vehicle in person was hot.
From this day on, Tesla Korea began exhibiting Model Y in two temporary exhibition venues at the Tesla pop-up store in Lotte Department Store in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul and Lotte World Mall in Jamsil, Seoul. Two trims were exhibited in Yeongdeungpo, the black long range and the blue performance, and only one red performance was displayed in Jamsil.
Tesla Korea has limited the number of people that can be viewed by time slot in consideration of the Corona 19 situation. A separate QR code is placed at the entrance to receive a mobile number. It also took measures to admit 15 people each time. As it is an event operated in the Corona 19 situation, it seems to be a self-measure to disperse personnel.
As a result of interviewing Lotte World Mall in Jamsil at 3 pm on the 13th, GDNET Korea found that there were more than 100 people waiting to see Model Y directly.
Tesla Korea also prepared breaks for the safety of the audience and vehicle maintenance. Yeongdeungpo is set from 1:50 pm to 2:30 pm, and from 5 pm to 5:30 pm. Jamsil is open from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm and from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm as a break.
The timing of model Y sales in Korea is not yet known. It will be sold mainly for long range and performance in Korea, and the domestic sales timing of the standard model is undecided. Subsidies have not yet been finalized.
