The customized damage support measures in response to the third coronavirus outbreak will be prepared as sufficient as possible by mobilizing all available resources, such as the change of the reserve fund, to significantly exceed the 3 trillion won level of reserve funds reflected by the National Assembly.

In particular, we decided to focus on supporting those who are suffering the most from the difficulties of public welfare, such as the victims of small businesses and the underprivileged. It has been decided to pay small business owners a support fund to the victims.

First of all, we decided to provide a common support for flat-rate support in consideration of business damage, and additionally provide differential support to alleviate the burden of fixed costs such as rental fees to businesses that are banned or restricted in accordance with quarantine rules.

We provide low-interest loan financing to further relieve the small business owner’s rent burden. On the other hand, in addition to the extension of the time limit for tax credit for rent cuts for lessors, the provisional National Assembly decided to promptly amend the relevant tax law to raise the rent reduction tax credit rate to 70% for landlords below a certain income level.

In addition, measures to reduce the burden of social burdens, such as extending the suspension of payment of additional employment and industrial accident insurance premiums for three months, and the suspension of payment of national pension insurance premiums for three months, along with a three-month delay in payment of electricity bills for small businesses from January to March next year. I decided to do it in parallel.

Separate income safety subsidies have been provided to special behavior workers, freelancers, and visiting and caring service workers, whose employment conditions are difficult due to coronavirus.

The company decided to strengthen the corona defense total response system and actively support it by using purpose reserves. In particular, we decided to provide intensive support to secure medical reinforcements, such as promptly reinforcing the infrastructure such as negative pressure beds for hospitals dedicated to the treatment of infectious diseases, and promoting morale of nursing personnel in the intensive care unit.

In addition, we decided to provide sufficient and prompt support for loss compensation to resolve the management difficulties of medical institutions, etc., which are struggling at the forefront of quarantine.

We decided to provide emergency liquidity and preemptive response to deteriorating employment, along with support for small business owners to recover from recovery, and to provide early intensive support for major employment safety net budgets such as employment maintenance subsidies and the national employment system.

In addition, we decided to take measures to reduce the burden on child-rearing and care households. The government decided to announce customized damage support measures including the above on December 29th.

In addition, the procedure for cash support such as support for small business owners has been simplified as much as possible to execute from the beginning of January, and the budget for quarantine activities and customized support packages will be executed promptly from January 1, immediately following the execution of this year’s budget.
