Regarding vaccination, about 20,000 corona vaccinations were performed yesterday, and the cumulative number of vaccinations since last February was about 700,000.

Yesterday, the number of diagnostic tests performed at screening clinics and temporary screening laboratories was about 74,000. Let me tell you about the response capacity of the medical response system.

The number of patients with severe gastric disorders reached about 300 in early January, but it has declined continuously and is now about 100. There are 603 beds for critically ill patients with Corona 19, which is relatively spacious. In addition, about 10,000 beds are available for semi-critical, moderate, and mild patients.

On March 23rd, the central ministries and basic local governments in the central region such as North Chungcheong Province, Daejeon City, and Sejong City participated together.

Let me tell you about the best practices discussed at the meeting.

First, Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do has a large population and is close to the metropolitan area, so there is a risk of the spread of Corona 19 infection, so we are implementing more thorough quarantine management. Cheonan City has operated its own temporary screening laboratory since last December, and conducted preemptive tests of approximately 110,000 cases for 30,000 people in 22 occupational groups that may be vulnerable to infection.

When a group infection occurred in the workplace in December, a temporary screening laboratory was immediately established and encouraged to promptly undergo a corona19 test regardless of nationality, visa, or residence. In addition, the Cheonan City Medical Association supported the doctor’s manpower, and the Foreign Language Support Center supported the interpreter manpower to quickly perform a large number of tests and overcome the crisis in the local community at an early stage.

In addition, Cheonan City has established a large-scale vaccination center through a business agreement with the local medical community for smooth vaccination. Next, Daedeok-gu, Daejeon, is striving to stabilize the number of patients through thorough quarantine management while also activating the local economy.

In cooperation with the police, Daedeok-gu Office regularly conducts quarantine inspections on 3,600 multi-use facilities such as religious facilities, restaurants, cafes, and singing practice centers. In addition, we are striving to revitalize the local economy through revitalization of non-face-to-face traditional market shopping, good rental agreements, and loan support for small businesses.

Cheongju City, Chungcheongbuk-do, will thoroughly check compliance with quarantine regulations, such as wearing masks, prohibiting eating and drinking at local attractions, and prohibiting street vendors business in accordance with the cherry blossom season from coming Saturday to April 11th.

In Cheongju City, in February, two out of three family members living together with disabilities were infected with Corona 19. The government will make more efforts to strengthen quarantine centered on the field by sharing local best practices and ideas through a major major meeting in which basic local governments participate.

From March 17th to 18th, the government surveyed 1,000 adults across the country for public perception of quarantine policies, such as social distancing. As a result of the survey, 87% of respondents said they are usually stressed by Corona 19. As a way to solve this, many respondents answered that they were doing indoor activities such as internet, reading, or exercising at home, or doing simple outdoor activities such as walking and exercising.

Simple outdoor activities such as simple home training at home or taking a walk around the house while wearing a mask well and following quarantine rules can help manage stress caused by coronavirus. I was able to confirm that many people are actually doing this.

In addition, a number of respondents answered that they are following the quarantine regulations well. 81% of the respondents said they were very observing the ban on private gatherings with more than 5 people. In addition, 83% of respondents agreed to strengthen quarantine regulations in order to further contain Corona 19 in the current situation.

61% of respondents thought that restricting personal outings or meetings would be more effective in quarantine than closing multi-use facilities or limiting business hours. In the event of a serious outbreak, 78% of respondents agreed to limit the business hours of multi-use facilities.

85% agreed on the opinion that if a person violates the quarantine rules and causes group infection, the violator should be asked for the right to remedy. Among the survey participants, 3.2% of the respondents said they had been vaccinated, and 84% of them said they would recommend the vaccination to their family members or people around them.

Of the respondents who have not yet received the vaccination, 68% are willing to receive the vaccination, and many respondents say that the main reason is to prevent infection in my family and myself and to contribute to the formation of collective immunity in our society. Of those who said they have not yet received the vaccination, 13% answered that they did not intend to receive the vaccination. The main reasons were worries about adverse reactions and distrust of the effectiveness of the vaccine.

AstraZeneca’s vaccine is being vaccinated by tens of millions of people in the UK and other places, and no serious side effects have been found that have a causal relationship in the process. In addition, the European Medicines Agency recently recommended vaccination because the AstraZeneca vaccine has no safety issues.

Only when the citizens actively participate in the COVID-19 vaccination can our society form collective immunity and restore daily life. The government is thoroughly communicating vaccines based on scientific evidence, and will disclose adverse reactions more transparently. In order to protect me, my family, and our society from Corona 19, we again ask that the citizens participate in the vaccination according to the vaccination plan.

As the clear spring weather continues, spring flower viewing and hiking are increasing. Taking off your mask for eating, refreshing, or drinking before or after viewing flowers and hiking increases your risk of infection. When talking, please wear a mask as much as possible and refrain from eating, refreshing, or drinking in a crowded place.

We urge the citizens to pay more attention to quarantine management, such as wearing masks and washing hands in various places in daily life so that Corona 19 does not spread again.
