[한복인터뷰] Jeongyeon Oh “Six years after the declaration of pre-declaration…I went up one step by step well”

Broadcaster Oh Jung-yeon is having a very busy day these days. In addition to appearing in various broadcasts, he is actively challenging in areas such as MC and acting. Although it was declared closed, it also operated a cafe until recently. As an announcer, he has emerged as a’challenge icon’ after making a free declaration in 2015, rushing to many things like a’fire moth’.

Jeongyeon Oh chose’innate passion’ as the driving force for her to’work hard’. He said that he had to do anything himself, and he was able to strengthen his inner room by doing many things. It was not always successful. Sometimes I was frustrated in front of obstacles, and sometimes things didn’t work. However, this experience helped Oh Jeong-yeon grow. In the future, Jeongyeon Oh announced that he plans to continue working hard in various fields.

From the days of the announcer, Oh Jeong-yeon spent the holidays while digesting the schedule. He is planning to spend the same New Year this year as well. He said, “I hope News 1 readers will also throw away their regrets and pains and have a hopeful New Year, and have a happy New Year’s Day.”

-How are you doing these days?▶Recently, we have closed the cafe and are focusing on broadcasting activities. Currently, she is appearing on Channel A’Golden Compass’.

-Some time ago, I heard the news that the cafe was closed.

▶ The cafe that had been running for nearly two years was closed. It opened in May 2019 and operated well while making regulars, but it was hit by Corona 19 and suffered management difficulties. Still, I didn’t think about closing the business, but unexpected variables occurred and eventually closed.

-I’m sorry that the space where I poured affection disappears.

▶ I try to think positively. It is a pity that the space I created disappears, but there are many good memories in this place. The employees were friends with them from the time they opened, but since I closed the cafe, I said that I could leave the group chat room, but I didn’t go out. These are people who can be friends for life. Some regular customers came to me when organizing furniture and asked me to buy something so I could remember the space… During the cafe, precious memories and people remained. It was an experience not in vain. I want to create another home that can last longer if an opportunity comes.

-Even though the cafe is closed, it still looks busy.

▶I am working hard on broadcasting, and I am also focusing on my leisure time. These days, I spend time with my dogs and heal, and I feel like I have gained some weight, so I am exercising. I am having fun.

-YouTube doesn’t come up regularly. Do you have any plans to be active?

▶In fact, my YouTube was made for recording purposes. I received an e-mail saying that it became a requirement for generating revenue, but I didn’t even apply. Personally, I think it doesn’t fit well. When I was filming Vlog, the time of’off’ felt like work. In the future, I will upload Vlog for YouTube when I really want to do it and share my daily life.

-He is also active as an actor. Aren’t you waiting for the release of this year’s movie’Go Soo’?

▶ Although the exact release date has not been announced, it is likely to be shown to the public this year. The first time I started acting was through the MBC drama’Working Mom Child Raising Daddy’, which aired in 2016. At the recommendation of the director, I was able to learn a lot by taking the opportunity to appear in a daily drama with a long breath. I really got to know A to Z of acting in the field. I started with only motivation, but fell in love with acting and tried to play afterwards. In the future, I want to meet the public often as an actor.

-Was it because I got a master’s degree in theater film chemistry to do better?

▶ Originally, I was doing a master’s degree in broadcasting, but as I left the organization and came out as a freelancer, I wanted to become a person who could handle various tasks. At that time, rather than thinking of acting, I was interested in theater and film chemistry where I could study more humanities because broadcasting was from the media. At that time, learning theories while analyzing movies helped me a lot when I was acting later.

-Doesn’t it stand out in various fields ranging from progress, acting, entertainment, and business? If there is a driving force.

▶I think I was burned. (Laughs) If I think it’s a fire moth, but I think I should try it, I run out unconditionally. When I am at home, I am a moth type, so I am very immersed in something I am interested in. The cafe was also prepared in two months. Once there is momentum, it tends to catch fire. They also value experiencing as many things as possible in life.

-Because there are so many talents, it might have been more frustrating when I was trapped in the frame of an announcer.

▶ Until I joined KBS, I thought I was a model student (laughs). But I didn’t know that I had been repressed and lived without knowing. Although I followed the life of the organization well, I made a pre-declaration because I wanted to take off the announcer title and find my aptitude more diversely.

-But it is not an easy decision to leave a stable company and take a challenge. Have you ever regretted it?

▶The risk was great, but if I didn’t, I would regret it. It is worthwhile to remain at the company, but I made a bold decision because I had a personality to do anything by myself. When things didn’t work, I said,’What would it have been like if there was a company?’ I do not regret it now. Whenever I encounter new things, I think it was the right choice for me. I often go to my company to play, but my seniors support and encourage my challenge.

-Last year, she appeared in various entertainment shows such as’Quick Organize’ and’I’m Alive’ to show her sincere appearance.

▶After appearing in’Quick Organizing’, many people wrote comments on SNS and the community and sympathized with my heart. Some people said,’I was sorry for misunderstanding because of preconceived opinions.’ The feedback was so warm that it made me cry. This reaction continued in’I am alive’. Previously, if most of the broadcasts where’Announcer Oh Jeong-yeon’ were revealed, it seems that through these programs,’Human Oh Jeong-yeon’ could approach viewers more. I think I have taken a meaningful step with the increasing number of people who see me as myself.

-He confessed that there were difficult times in’I’m Alive’. Is it a time of silence now?

▶Since there is an image of a public broadcasting announcer, I thought I should live without causing problems. Without knowing, I was bound by such things and went through a belated puberty. The time to establish yourself has come belatedly. That’s about 2017-2018. Afterwards, it is comfortable to admit to me and approach myself honestly.

-It’s been about 6 years since the pre-declaration. How about looking back on past activities?

▶There were trial and error, but it seems to have come up one step by step. When I was 22, I became an announcer and worked for over 10 years. Since we broadcast live every day, viewers will be familiar with the image. It takes that much time to break this. I want to go step by step.

-If you have a goal in the future.

▶As a broadcaster, my goal is to expand the spectrum in various fields. I want to be a person who will be able to release a movie soon and reveal my personality in acting and entertainment. In addition, if there is an opportunity to become a radio DJ, it seems that I will be able to proceed deeply by dissolving my experiences. In the future, I want to approach the public honestly and honestly.

-How do you plan to spend this year?
