[태양열산업 선도기업] SNG Energy

S&G Energy (CEO Jong-Il Park), a solar energy company that celebrates its 23rd anniversary this year, holds various patents based on its technological know-how in the solar field, and is directly operating design and construction as well as manufacturing solar collectors and solar controllers. It is taking the lead in distributing solar heat systems such as residential solar water heaters and mid- to large-sized solar heat, and plans to expand the market through new developments such as small package solar heat systems and drying systems using linear Fresnel collectors.

The core of the solar system using the quarterly heat storage tank is the development of a low-cost solar heat collector and a low-cost quarterly heat storage tank with a long lifespan. As well as a patent, it has registered a Chinese patent. In addition, it has also completed a domestic patent registration for’solar heat collector with automatic moisture control function’.

An official of SNG Energy said, “To secure the long-term life of the large-capacity, low-cost quarterly heat storage tank, we are also applying for a patent for the leak diagnosis technology of the heat storage tank. Through this technology development, we will be able to secure an edge in the competitiveness for the distribution of the quarterly heat storage system.” Revealed.

Holds a number of quarterly heat storage demonstration cases

The solar heat system using the quarterly heat storage tank is a system that stores the surplus solar heat in the quarterly heat storage tank and then uses it for the heater during non-heating and has many advantages over the short-term heat storage tank utilization system. Accordingly, there are various installation cases mainly in technologically advanced countries such as Germany and Denmark.

In Korea, an empirical study of supplying heating heat to a number of buildings in the’Jincheon Eco-friendly Energy Town’ supported by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning in 2016 was conducted by the Korea Institute of Energy Research, and in 2018, heating heat in the glass greenhouse in the Jeonnam Agricultural Research Institute under the supervision of Inha University. An empirical study was conducted to supply them. SNG Energy participated in two projects and successfully completed the demonstration project.

Currently, we are pursuing a demonstration project for the quarterly heat storage system that supplies heating heat to facility gardening houses supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs along with the Energy Technology Research Institute, and after completion of the project, the spread of solar heat systems based on the business model is expected to expand.

In addition, through the’development of high-performance underground quarterly heat storage system using solar heat’ supported by the Ministry of Industry, the construction of the borehole quarterly heat storage system in the SOC research center of the Institute of Construction Technology located in Yeoncheon was completed.

An official of S&G Energy said, “The solar heat system using the quarterly heat storage tank can use non-radiated solar heat compared to the system using the existing short-term heat storage tank, so the solar heat dependence rate can be greatly increased to 50-80% compared to the facility load, and solar heat can be used year-round. It is possible to efficiently apply it to the heating field, which was a drawback of the solar heat field.” He stressed, “It can greatly contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions in Korea, which is highly dependent on fossil fuels and improves economic efficiency by reducing fuel costs due to large-scale installations.”

If the installation space is secured, the quarterly heat storage system can be applied not only to vinyl houses and glass greenhouses that have been completed or underway through empirical research so far, but also to all facilities that can generate non-release excess heat. Large-scale installation in block (village) units is also possible, and it is expected to spread widespread use in the solar thermal field through solar thermal system reduction technology in the future.

SNG Energy is expected to contribute to the expansion of technology and product exports in the future, as the’Sungan District Quarterly Solar Thermal System Project Using Heat Storage Tanks in China’, which was launched in 2019, will be promoted in earnest this year.
