From yesterday (29th), the USFK Command has entered Modena’s Corona 19 vaccination against essential personnel such as Commander Robert Abrams and medical staff.

In addition, official discussions with the Ministry of National Defense have been initiated on whether KATUSA Soldiers working at US military bases and Korean workers are vaccinated.

The USFK command has been vaccinated at Osan and Gunsan air bases and at Humphrey bases.

Essential personnel, such as medical staff and applicants working at the forefront of quarantine, became the top priority for vaccination.

The US military said that an additional vaccine will arrive following the arrival on the 25th.

In addition to Modena, the second shipment may be other types of vaccines such as the US Food and Drug Administration and Pfizer approved for emergency use by the FDA.

According to the principle of inoculating all qualified USFK personnel, USFK will receive additional supply in accordance with the vaccine production situation in the future.

Accordingly, KATUSA Soldiers and Korean workers in the USFK will also be able to receive vaccinations if they wish.

Specific targets and schedules are being discussed with the Ministry of Defense.
