North Korea showed off its system stability and quarantine performance by participating in the 8th Party Congress, the largest ever, with more than 7,000 people, even while upgrading the level of COVID-19 quarantine to super-express.

Changes in the way Kim Jong-un governed by the State Council and the generational change of North Korean leadership were also spotted everywhere.

5,000 party representatives from all over the country attended the 8th Party Congress held in Pyongyang.

It is the largest ever, with more than 1,300 people more than the 7th Party Congress in 2016.

Including the audience, it reached 7,000, but all of them sat tightly without wearing masks.

Along with the Corona 19 quarantine performance, it seems to be a paving stone to show off the solid status of the Kim Jong-un regime.

Unlike at the 7th Party Congress, Chairman Kim Jong-un showed a solemn expression throughout the event, wearing people’s clothing.

He acknowledged the failure of economic policies with honest speech and emphasized that he would listen to the voices of the people.

Also noteworthy is the change in the composition of national party representatives with an emphasis on recovering the public economy.

After the party’s political representatives, the number of core party representatives working in the field was the highest at 1,455, and the number of representatives from the administrative and economic sectors nearly doubled compared to the drastically reduced number of military representatives.

It is also interesting to note that in the 7th round, there were only 315 female representatives, 501, and 10% of the total.

In addition, 29 of the 39 executives who lead the Labor Party Congress, and more than 70% of the total, were replaced.

The replacement of the executive department after five years, such as the 1st Vice-Director Kim Yeo-jeong and the 1st Vice-Director Cho Yong-won of the organizational leadership, is on the list.
