On the first day of the Lunar New Year holiday, President Moon Jae-in made a video call with eight Koreans to share new year’s virtues and holiday greetings.

President Moon, who met with actor Joon-Yeol Ryu, national women’s soccer player Ji So-yeon, and Director Chi-seung Yang, a famous health trainer, expressed his consolation and gratitude for enduring the corona crisis in their respective seats.

In celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday, President Moon communicated directly with eight Korean people through video calls.

President Moon cheered for the success of Ji So-yeon, who is active in the English soccer league, and expressed his wishes for a warm New Year’s Day even though it is a foreign country.

A message of condolence was delivered to Director Chi-seung Yang, a famous fitness trainer who had to close the gym and earn a living by selling Tteokbokki due to the government’s quarantine measures.

When both directors complained of the difficulties caused by the limited business hours in the metropolitan area, President Moon expressed the possibility of easing quarantine, saying whether it would be possible to make business hours more flexible if the Lunar New Year holidays are well finished.

In a conversation with Joon-Yeol Ryu, an actor who is leading the environmental movement, we shared a consensus that carbon neutrality is a global challenge.

President Moon welcomed his healed juniors with a placard and expressed his gratitude for his warm consideration to the three graduates of Hongcheon Oancho who left cases of coronavirus.

When asked by students what they would most like to do if the corona was ended, President Moon replied that he really wanted to throw off his mask and sing hurray.

In addition, President Moon shared his New Year’s virtues with Father Ahn Kwang-hoon, the godfather of the Daltown, who has been working hard for the demolished and poor people in Seoul for over 50 years, and actor Lee So-byul, who is acting as an actor with an acquired deafness.

The Blue House explained that each of the eight people selected for this call carries a message of courage and challenge, and it is the first time that President Moon made a video call with the people on the holiday.
