President Moon Jae-in visited the Jongno-gu Health Center in Seoul this morning and received the AstraZeneca vaccine to prevent Corona 19.

President Moon arrived at the Jongno Public Health Center at around 9 am today, and immediately received the vaccine after taking a temperature measurement and a doctor’s interview.

After that, President Moon, who waited for about 30 minutes at the public health center to check for abnormalities, returned to the Blue House because there was no abnormality.

The Blue House said that President Moon did not take a separate vacation, but returned to the Blue House after vaccination and is proceeding with normal work.

President Moon’s COVID-19 vaccination today is for attending the G7 Summit in June.

The Blue House previously explained that this vaccination is in accordance with the regulations of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for those leaving for mandatory purposes.

Not only President Moon, but also some of the Blue House staff, including his wife Kim Jeong-sook and the head of the National Security Office, Seo Hoon, received the vaccine together today.

They are all the people who accompany the G7 summit.

The Blue House said that 11 people can be vaccinated with a single AstraZeneca vaccine, and to minimize the amount of discarded vaccine, 10 of the summit participants first received the vaccine together with President Moon.

Earlier, the Blue House explained that the vaccination of President Moon today is aimed at attending the G7 Summit, but it is also intended to relieve public anxiety.

On the first day of vaccination for residents of nursing hospitals over 65 years old, President Moon received the AstraZeneca vaccine together, which means taking the initiative to clear the controversy over safety and effectiveness.

At a meeting of the Blue House Senior Advisors held yesterday, President Moon also requested that the vaccines be given in order without having any doubts about the safety of the vaccine.

They also asked to be alert to prevent fake news that arouses vaccine anxiety.
