President Moon Jae-in has directly ordered a review of the introduction of the loss compensation system, which is causing friction between the ministry and the ruling party.

It can be interpreted as having directly resolved the confusion between the Ministry of Finance, which is concerned about financial expansion, and the party promoting the legalization of loss compensation.

President Moon Jae-in received a report on corona-related ministries such as the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, following a report from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Security last week.

While even the ruling party representative attended the business report on an unusual basis, President Moon gave strength to the’legalization of the loss compensation system’ promoted by the party.

As the coronavirus continues for more than a year, self-employed and small business owners have reached their limits, the government must compensate for the sacrifices caused by business restrictions.

In particular, President Moon’s remarks are more noticeable because there has been a noise between the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance over the recent loss compensation system.

Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun publicly criticized Kim Yong-beom’s remarks that it is difficult to find a country that recently legalized self-employment loss compensation.

Deputy Prime Minister Hong Nam-ki also expressed concern over the loss compensation system, saying that he would gather wisdom between the party and political parties through his SNS last weekend.

However, as the president even officially ordered institutionalization, the loss compensation law is expected to accelerate.

In addition, President Moon said that the distribution improvement effect was greatly increased through the disaster subsidies provided earlier and support for the vulnerable.
