A while ago, a meeting between President Moon Jae-in and the Democratic Party leadership started.

What are you going to talk about today?

President Moon Jae-in met with the Democratic Party’s leadership from 11 am a little while ago.

In the Blue House, President Moon and Secretary General Yoo Young-min, as well as Policy Director Kim Sang-jo and National Security Office Director Seo Hoon, attended.

From the Democratic Party, Nak-Yeon Lee, President Tae-Yeon Kim, the highest committee members, and the Chairman of the Policy Committee attended.

This is the first time since the election of the new Democratic Party leadership in August of last year, the entire ruling party leadership has held a meeting.

The meeting is being held privately after President Moon’s remarks.

It is expected to discuss issues related to quarantine and people’s livelihood and economy to manage the Corona 19 crisis situation.

In particular, the key is the size of the supplementary supplement for the 4th disaster support payment.

Although the party government continues to discuss, there is a clear difference in perception between the Democratic Party and the government on the scale of support.

The Democratic Party, which emphasizes’wide and thick support’, proposed a lower limit of 20 trillion won, which is a significant increase from the last 3rd subsidy, which was originally worth 9.3 trillion won.

On the other hand, as Deputy Prime Minister Hong Nam-ki sticks to the 12 trillion won mark, there is still a difference in perception.

Representative Lee Nak-yeon, at the National Assembly meeting yesterday, repeatedly emphasized that he was strongly pressured to expand the scale by referring to the situation of discussions between party governments as’a fight against the Ministry of Strategy and Finance’.

There are also observations that the final subsidy will eventually find contact points around 15 trillion won.

At today’s meeting, it will be noted whether President Moon Jae-in and the Democratic Party leadership will find a clue to the agreement.

The National Assembly is expected to continue discussing the special law of Gadeokdo New Airport today?

[기자]

The National Assembly’s Land Transport Committee opened a subcommittee for legal review and started to discuss the special bill of Gadeokdo New Airport.

The meeting started at 9:30 am.

There are two special bills for Gadeok Island to be discussed today, initiated by the Democratic Party and the People’s Power of Busan, respectively.

Both bills contain special provisions, such as exemption from preliminary feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments for rapid business promotion.

As the Democratic Party representative Lee Nak-yeon as well as the people’s strength, Kim Jong-in, the Emergency Response Committee, visited Busan and professed to be dealt with in the provisional National Assembly in February, it seems that it will not be unreasonable to pass the bill.

However, pain continues over the contents of the bill.

Earlier, at the yesterday’s (17th) meeting, it was pointed out that exempting the preliminary feasibility study, no matter how much special law, is an excessive privilege.

Rep. Kim Sang-hoon, a member of the National Assembly’s National Land Committee, argued that in the call with YTN, the preliminary feasibility study was not exempted, but rather simplified.

Ho-young Joo also mentioned the necessity of a preliminary feasibility study, saying that if we start to allow exceptions to exceptions with reporters today, as the standards for state administration disappear, the basics should be followed.

However, the Democratic Party leadership has repeatedly affirmed its willingness to pass the bill according to the original bill, which exempts the preliminary feasibility study.

In today’s meeting, Democratic Party leader Kim Tae-nyeon emphasized that he will handle the special law and put it into the National Assembly in February as the original plan, so that Gadeok Island will be nailed as an irreversible national project.

Chief Commissioner Yang Hyang-ja also pointed out that the stigma of seeing some localities could be avoided by saying that the legislation must be passed as the core contents are contained.

If the National Land Commission agrees to deal with the bill today, the Commission will hold a plenary meeting and pass the bill. Interest is focused on the direction of the bill whether it will be dealt with as the original bill.
