[정치]“Nuclear power plant-grade solar power on the roof of the factory”… transformed into a green industrial complex

More than a thousand industrial complexes nationwide use most of the energy use in the industrial sector.

It has been shown that simply installing solar power facilities on the idle areas of these complexes and on the roofs of buildings can create and replace electricity at the capacity of nuclear power plants.

Accordingly, the political sphere is planning to help actively promote the business by adding renewable energy supply projects to the work of the Industrial Complex Management Corporation.

In Korea, there are over a thousand industrial complexes all over the country.

They use 83% of the energy used by the industry as a whole.

Greenhouse gases are also emitting 76% of the total.

This is one of the reasons why the current government, whose key goal is to reduce carbon emissions, is to create a smart green industrial complex and increase the use of new and renewable energy.

At the same time, industrial complexes can also be used as green energy production sites.

It has been shown that using idle lands and roofs in industrial complexes nationwide for solar power generation can produce large amounts of electricity.

Even if purely considering the area, the amount of electricity that can be made is 5 gigawatts, which is equivalent to the power generation capacity of 5 general nuclear power plants.

It can solve a large part of the industry’s massive carbon emissions problem.

However, compared to the expected effect, the lack of aggressiveness of the industrial complex that manages the industrial complex is a task to be solved.

This is because the budget for reducing greenhouse gas emissions is only 900 million won a year, and it is also missing from the main business of the industrial complex.

Accordingly, the politicians began to amend the bill to include the renewable energy supply business and the greenhouse gas reduction business in the industrial complex’s business.

The bill is due for final legal review and coming out as early as next week.

In addition, it is a homework for individual companies to hesitate to invest in solar power facilities in consideration of the possibility of relocation.

Additional incentives need to be put in place to address this.
