If you buy now, it’s not the time to talk”… Lee Nak-yeon, saying that he respects it, heading to Gwangju

At the New Year’s press conference today (18th), President Moon Jae-in’s position regarding the amnesty of former presidents Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye was also a major concern, but he made it clear that now is not the time.

Lee Nak-yeon, head of the Dong-A-Democratic Party, who took the pardon first, said he respected the will and headed to Honam.

When the issue of the amnesty of former Presidents Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye came up as the first question, President Moon Jae-in began answering heavily, saying he expected it to be an important question.

He expressed his hardship to speak honest thoughts, and drew a line clearly saying that now is not the time to say pardon.

President Moon explained why the national damage and disappointment of the people due to the tremendous government-run non-governmental and power-type corruption were so great that there was no reflection.

Someday, the time will come to say pardons, but he said that the premise of consensus among the people is that it can lead to division, not integration.

The response of Dong-A-Democratic Party President Lee Nak-yeon, who said it would ease the burden on the President, and took the pardon first seemed heavy.

After leaving short words saying that I respected the President’s will, I got on the train to Gwangju before the interview was over.

Representative Lee Nak-yeon was also surrounded by citizens demanding complete withdrawal of amnesty from the May 18th National Cemetery in Gwangju.

I aimed to reverse the approval ratings of the recently inferior presidential powers with harmony, which is my strength, led by amnesty, but the situation has become an irrational number.

The apparent reason for the visit to Gwangju is the New Year’s greetings and public sentiment, but even in Honam, which is the political base, it can be interpreted as a move to rebuild the foundation for support after Governor Lee Jae-myeong was defeated.

The power of the people and the National Assembly were fiercely criticized for pushing the people for the pardon that the President had to decide.

The Justice Party and the Open Democratic Party expressed sympathy.

As President Moon made a clear statement, the issue of amnesty is expected to sink below the water surface for a while unless a major variable comes out in the future.
