President Moon Jae-in, who publicly apologized when Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol’s decision to return to office, is expected to accept Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae’s appreciation earlier this week.

It is a plan to fix the government by directly ending the so-called’Chu-Yun conflict’ phase, and a candidate for the Minister of Public Affairs will also be appointed within this week to speed up the reform of the prosecution.

As President Moon made a public apology, the acceptance of Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae’s remarks has increased within this week.

The timing is expected after Minister Chu attends the Candidate Recommendation Committee for Deputy Minister of Public Transport of the National Assembly.

There is also a possibility that the resignation will be accepted and the second reshuffle will take place at the same time, including the announcement of a successor to the Minister of Justice.

Additional reorganization targets include Minister of Small and Medium Venture Business Park Young-sun, a prominent candidate for the mayor of Seoul, and Eun-hye Yoo, Deputy Prime Minister of Social Affairs and Education Minister, Lee Jae-gap, Minister of Employment and Labor, and Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Sung Yun-mo, among the Ministers of Longevity.

However, as it requires physical time, such as personnel verification, the possibility of additional reshuffles after replacing it with’one point’ from the Minister of Justice cannot be excluded.

Along with this, it is said that President Moon will nominate one finalist within this week if two candidates for airlift are nominated by the National Assembly.

It is said that the prompt nomination of the candidate for the Minister of Public Affairs can help resolve a series of controversies including the disciplinary issue of President Yun within this year, while at the same time providing a message for reforming the prosecution.

A passport official explained that if the replacement of Minister Chu and the nomination of the Minister of Public Affairs within this week will lead to an institutional completion program of prosecution reform.

President Moon’s Christmas apology can be seen as expressing his determination to quickly resolve the conflict between the Minister of Justice and the Prosecutor General, which has been more than a year old.
